Thanks everyone
I want to thank everyone for all the tips. I finally got SH3 to work on my Vista system. After all this time, I should have looked here first. Also starforce does not seem to be around.

Forgot to add
I got sh3 when it first came out. All those years, when on the surface, the Crew where looking thru there hands, No Binoculars. Since I loaded the game on my new computer and vista, the crew now have Binoculars
