Default Torpedo Attack Assistance

Would like some ideas and pointers regarding my attack setups.

My current procedure is to align my sub so I will intersect the target’s course at an approximate 90 degree angle. I then ID the ship, lock it with GPS, and get the range. I then use the ruler and run a line along my sub’s 0 or 180 degree bearing (depending if bow or stern shot). I then run a ruler line, after numerous target location marks on my Nav map, along the targets course. At the point they intersect, I use the protractor to get an angle (AOB). It is usually around 88 to 93 degrees if the targets course is true and not zig zaging. I keep updating the range and speed, until the target crosses my 0 bearing on my periscope and fire a spread using the spread mech. This is usually pretty successful but limits my attack on numerous targets.

Can I use the same procedure but run a ruler line from my sub at the 340 degree bearing and the locked target’s course, get the AOB, then fire once the ship crosses the 340 bearing on my Periscope? That would allow me to get another plot fixed for a shot on another target at the 0 degree (90 AOB) and possibly another at the 20 degree or so?

I have also been reading where WW2 skippers would plot their torpedo attacks, but use the periscope to have the fish hit certain point of the target not by using a spread but as the ship passed a certain mark on the scope and using that as the firing point. Any info on how that works with SH4?

I have the basics but need to improve my torpedo attacks to include more complicated and realistic plots and the ability to engage multiple targets successfully.

Thanks for any and all help…..
