I don't know if this has been discussed before:
Reading the Handbook of a german SuperMod "Living Silent Hunter", I found something about the CfgDate-Bug. Mission Editor sets the CfgDate of all Ships to CfgDate=19380101 regardless of the GameEntryDate of the ship. That means, that the Enemy ships always have the same sensors and equipment, regardless of the year. In the GWX-Campaign I found, that most of the ships have CfgDate=1938 or 1939, so that they will never use the equipment of the later war years. Would it be a good idea to write a program which sets CfgDate = GameEntryDate with little random variance of course- and which also sets the Crew Rating according to the year of the war. Early war: Crew Rating low, late war: Crew Rating high. Again with some variance..... |
