Elimination of Radio Contacts

I wanted to patrol without receiving radio contacts that showed me the position and course of convoys, task forces, etc.

It is too easy to intercept them.
I wanted complete random encounters.
Of course the tonnage drops significantly without radio contacts.

Peabody showed me the way to do this, and it works fine.

YOU DON'T RECEIVE EVEN ONE RADIO CONTACT!!!

I've made a version for stock SH4 1.5 and another for Webster's GFO mod.
I'm currently working on RFB 1.52.

I see that the majority of commanders relies heavily on radio contacts, and the absence of them would not satisfy a tonnage hyngry skipper.

However, I can make versions for all the major mods, RFB, RSRD, TMO etc.

If any of you are interested in playing without magic eyes that show you where are the targets, I' ll be happy to make these versions.

Just let me know. If there is interest, I'll make for all mods.

Billy.

True, some radio contacts are very strange. In SH3 for example it seemed that there was someone constantly tailing convoys and sending radio reports every 2 hours. Even worse, it felt as if the entire Atlantic was full of german subs reporting (but not attacking) everything. Sh4 seems a bit more realistic and sending scout planes is cool. Plus, intercepting a contact is a challenge in itself. I've tailed convoys for many hours before making contact and it more fun that it sounds . However i'd linke to know how it's done so please, can you explain here what changes need to be made?

Here, Peabody explains exactly the procedure for doing this.

I will probably post the complete JSGME mod after I finish the compatible versions for all the major mods + all major mods plus RSRDC.

So far, the stock and GFO versions are ready and RFB 1.52 in the works.

Well, it's an easy little mod, but yes, it requires a lot of changes.
Not any scientific work though!

I will upload it shortly after completion and testing.

I would like to contribute something to the community, big or small, just to thank the guys that entertain me with all these wonderful mods, made all these years for a lot of submarine games.

And who knows, maybe the empty maps and the absence of messages will appeal to someone...

Personally, I love it. It reflects the frustration of the real captains that after weeks of sailing couldn't find the enemy, and the obvious joy and excitement when contact was made.

But it's not for the people hunting the ultimate tonnage...
