Default A problem with resfix

Hi!

I face the following problem with ResFix:

I install the fix and set the resolution to 1360x1024. Suddenly, in the middle of the game, resolution changes to 1024x768. I faced this in GWX and now in WAC 4. Has anybody any idea about that? (ATI 4850/2GB RAM-1000).

Maybe there is incompatibility with directx9c????Does anybody knows if the resfix works only with certain directxs????

It may be a compatability problem with your graphics card drivers and directx. Visit the site of the cards maker and download the latest drivers. Also, visit the Microsoft site and ensure you have the latest version and/or updates for directx.

One other possibilty that is not mentioned very much is the matter of the monitor/display drivers. If you install the display as "plug and play" (letting Windows decide the 'proper' driver), the driver installed is usually a generic driver that may not give you the full capabiliities of the display. Again, a visit to the display maker's site and downloadindg of the specific and latest driver for your display might help your problem. I discovered this situation long ago when I was assisting someone at work who had an advanced graphics program and could not get the full desired resolution. A check of the display properties showed that a generic "plug and play" driver was in use. I download and installed the driver specific to the display and the problem was solved. Since then, I place little faith in the "plug and play drivers". I hope this helps you.

Indeed my LG W2042T was Plug and Play. Now I downloaded the driver and it seems that it works but only time will show!

Thank you so much!
