Default GWX3G - hydrophone,external noises a bit too loud

I was wondering if there was a way to lower or completely remove the external noises while listening in on the HPs,especially that damn ticking clock.I cant really imagine the internal noises in the UBoat would be that loud while listening with the headphones on,and it gets a bit worse if you turn up your own earphones connected to your speakers. This is not a MAJOR problem, but the sounds do seem to distract a little from the noises I am trying to pick up,especially very distant/quiet sounds.

Cheers.

I think that noises are actualy external, the sounds of the sea etc. The clock bothered me too, but i got used to it and don't even hear it anymore.

Unless you're speaking of other sounds, like wind, seagulls and sounds that can normaly be heard from the control room. In that case, it's due to a known bug and the sounds will go away the next time you reload.

Have you tried turning up the volume on the hydrophone itself? The volume control is on the lower right of the unit when you are sitting in the Hydrophone position.

You might find yourself being grateful for the noise seagulls make one day

No,I dont hear seagulls, unless one has managed to get caught flying into the torp tubes,or has flown down the hatch during a storm ,rather, the quite loud clock ticking, and all the other sounds heard throughout the UBoat.I think I will get used to it before long.

And Tarjak,I know where the volume is mate ,cheers anyway.

Cheers.

Somebody made a "amb_hydrophone.wav" before, that supressed all sub noises and I have it installed for myself but I don't remember where I got it from.
