1. Ive heard around here that laptops and sh3 dont get along too well but that is only rumor, so someone else should confirm it or not.
2. This is very dependent on multiple factors. My favorite always was VIIC but it gets necesary to upgrade with the warprogress. 3.It does worth it.However the upgrades viries with the electirc motors. One for exaple is for lowering the recharge time of the batteries but does not extend the running time of them. Though most of the upgrades are not necesery they make life easier. For exaple the AA guns are not priority since your best defence always is diving, however late war the RWR are crucial to warn you of impeding slauther coming your way. ![]()

If you aim for a better-than-average cpu and plenty of RAM (at least 3 gb) - and a good video card (also with plenty of memory) you should be fine. Problem with many laptops is that the video cards are often integrated on the main board so they cannot be improved upon. You need to pay a little more to get these benefits. |

Hi there :-)
Ahoy :-)
I am using a laptop for 1.5 years now to play this game. And, within certain boundaries, it really works well. What you have to keep in mind, and this is important, is that you need a very good laptop grafics card. The faster the better! Second: Cooling system! I have put my laptop on a laptop Cooler Master (costs 20 euro's). It cools the laptop with a big fan from the bottom. Really helps a lot. I play SH3, upgraded to Grey Wolves 3.0, so there really is a lot of processing power needed to run things smoothly. Specs of my laptop: Acer Aspire 7720G Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2 GHz) Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT - 512 MB 2 GB DDR2 My laptop can do it, but she needs the extra cooling system. The location under the DOLBY logo gets very hot when playing. Pay us a visit at www.nordfront.org |

![]() 1) a descent dual core (2.5GHz or more) should run the mod fine....also ensure a decent graphics card and at least 2GB of RAM. 2) My favourite boats are the Type IX's 3) There are far more important upgrades than the batteries....radar, sonar etc. |
