Help with GWX 3.0 Vista!

Hello gents, I recently downloaded and installed GWX 3.0 and i cannot start my first patrol on a new career. It freezes with about 90% of the load screen filled in. I have done the following all twice:

1. Completely uninstalled SH3 (deleted all files)
2. Installed "vanilla" SH3 with 1.4 US DVD patch (that's what I have)
3. I have tried both the "one download version" and the separate files download of GWX 3.0
4. SH3 Commander is not installed.
5. I have been running all programs as sdminstrator
6. I can play the Naval Academy on GWX 3.0

My computer has 2GB ram, and a nvidia gforce 6150

In the past with my own CTD I have found that if I can do the
academy the problem is.

In the Career file in C:\Documents\SHIII.

When I CTD I delete this file and start a new career with SHII
Commander.

Just a thought- do you have other versions of SH3 installed on the same drive?
If so, you need multish3 installed with each to ensure saved game files dont get mixed up as this will cause ctd on the loading screen.

Also if running vista, make sure you instal the game outside of the programme files area of the drive to avoid the security settings.

Hope you have it sorted out!

You know, of course, the GWX may take five minutes of more on some machines to load? Did you give it enough time?
There is a stickey on Vista and Sh3; and also one on GWX. Almost all questions that can be answered are covered there.
