US Supreme Court Justice Souter Retiring

President Obama will have his first Supreme Court vacancy to fill. Justice Souter is retiring, apparently to get away from Washington and back to his home state of New Hampshire. Souter was a Bush 41 appointee, but he is on the Court's liberal wing, so his retirement is unlikely to affect the Court's ideological balance. |
