Default S-boat bugs

There seems to be problems with the S-boat diesels. During depth charging, a number of times my diesels have been damaged and when I surface, they don't work at all, even though I have plenty of fuel.

Is there a fix for this? Or am I missing something?

thanks

There are some bugs with the S boats when mods are applied.

Im guessing that your engines may have been damaged 'beyound repair'.

An unfortunate circumstance because similar to losing a rudder or the prop shafts your pretty much screwed.

Well, for the most part, if your engine is damage it does not matter how much fuel you have. I suspect they are damaged beyond repair.

Hmmm. One engine was destroyed, and the other was damaged 32%. I should think I can get some speed out of it...

Nah, she is dead. Did you allow time for the crew to work on it?

Nope. Surfaced and tried to make a run for it....

Is it possible to edit the Zones CFG file, or the Submarine ZON file to make it tougher to destroy the periscopes as I find both periscopes ALWAYS get destroyed....
