Ouch!!!

So i as cruising along doing a Mariana's patrol today..just minding my own business. I had about 20,000 tons of maru under my belts and spoetted a lone small freighter. i decided to put one fish into her and finish her off with my deck gun.
I lined her up and launched my fish....I watched in the periscope and then lost the fish as i eas running back up to the bridge...ack she was running a circle pattern...I have seen this before but have been submerged..this was a nighttime surface run...and did I pay.
She impacted the Balao on the right side wiping out all my forward tubes and killing all of the gun crew except one..I guess he was the luck one. With all forward tubes out of commision I sped up as the crew reapired the gaping hol and finished the maru with the aft tubes.
I limped home and unloaded my dead crewman. I gave the lone surviver a well deserved purple heart!!! OUCH
