Default NOOB Help

I've just purchased SH4 and have upgraded to v1.5 with U Boat mission pack.

I have d/l and installed JSGME to my SH4 directory.

I've also d/l :

*RFB v152
*RSRDC_RFB v152_v420
*RSRDC_ v420 patch 2a

Questions:

1. Do I first have to MAKE a MOD file in my SH4 directory to extract my d/l's into...I don't see a mod file now.

2. Where can I get the appropriate zip file extractors required for the mod installations? Is there a link someone can point me to?

3. Thru JSGME I believe the correct order of the modifications are what I have shown above...correct?

TXS

Read the directions for JSGME and it will tell you how to make a folder and make a snapshot of the game files before you do anything else. Then extract the MODs to that "MODs" folder.

For zipping and unzipping I use 7zip. It is free and works well and will do several type of compressed files. Just Google it.

As for the order of the MODs I don't know that one, but it probably says in the readme file. If not I'm sure someone that uses them will jump in and help.

Dave,

I'm a noob myself - still waiting on my game (should come today or tomorrow)....

Regardless, I can help with #2 -- try WinRar ...

Good Luck!

1. Yes. Just add a folder in the directory titled "Mods".
2. See above. Either of the above mentioned programs work fine and google will lead you to them.
3. Yes. That should do it.
4. Happy Hunting!!!
