Default Ship Names Update April 16

Well, I wasn't going to do another update for awhile, because research takes time, but I was playing and sank a ship, and it didn't get a name! So, a little looking around showed me one I had missed.

This incorporates the two I put in the one last week (Arandor Star and Q-Ship), plus the BBWarspite (thanks Murr44!). It also includes OTTender, the Royal Navy's fleet oilers (the 'Dale' class - Barrdale, Derwentdale etc).
http://files.filefront.com/Ship+name.../fileinfo.html

One problem with those ships, though - they show up in the game as 16000-17000 tons. Jane's Fighting Ships gives 17000 tons, but a The World's Merchant Fleets 1939 shows that this is the full-load naval displacement. The Gross Register Tonnage - what the u-boat captain who sank one would be credited with - was only about 8200 tons. I've changed it in my own Sea folder. What you do is up to you.

Anyway, install - as always - into SH3 Commander's Cfg folder.

Always. This is the only one you need.

Until the next one.

NO! As above, if you have SH3 Commander 3.2, all you need is this one! Each new update adds new things and changes some old ones, but it's a single file and includes everything that went before.

Go to:

C:\Program Files\SH3 CommanderGWX3.0\Cfg

You should see 8 CFG files

The one entitled 'Ship names' is the one you want (mine is curently 211KB in size but that could be because it has not yet been updated with the latest release).

You should be seeing:

Crew fatigue
Randomised events
SH3 options
Ship displacements
Ship names
Start at sea
Static settings
U-boat availability
U-boat numbers

Just realised the number is 9

Like this:

Thank god for that Jim,I was sweating then, its all there What I must of done is D/L sailorsteve's previous update and given it a different name cause I was in the middle of a patrol and didn't want to lose it in my assortment of mods I've collected, and when I've installed it later to the SH3Cmdr folder its sat there as another CFG instead of over righting the old one ..Trust me,its my age you see,the old grey matter needs time to work up to speed:rotfl:Thanks
