I just received my copy of SH3 already patched to 1.4, which came as an complete surprise. I ordered it through Sub Store of course.
I need some help getting started, I have and play SH1, SH2, SH4 with TMO, and now SH3. I am not without experience with Sub Sims, I have most of them.
I am trying to do the Navigation Tutorial and I am unable to figure out where I am suppose to go. I go SSE I get complete for entering the narrow channel-I can not complete the rest of the assignment.
I read where one member, when responding, "why are you wasting your time .......?", please I like to use all of the sims I buy so spare me the ridicule.
Where do I head to complete each step, I have already navigated, changed speeds, use way points, dove the boat and surfaced-but obviously I have failed to reach where ever I am suppose to be. Also, I keep receiving "new message received" Where do they show up?

You press "M" to see new messages. Check the stickied thread on keyboard tricks for more of this.

Also, I think you are supposed to exit patrol yourself. The ending is rather anticlimatic, but its only the naval academy.

Agree with ASVM's advice. The messages are tied directly into the scenario itself, and they'll tell you what to do next.

One bit of advice: stick with the tutorials, and finish them all before loading up any supermods. GWX in particular makes them hell to complete. On the other hand GWX gives you the full 1500-Renown bonus for just the Navigation one, so you don't have to suffer through the others. Still, they are cool to do once.
