1/6 model

Hi all, need some help with a personal model project. I would like to take a 1/6 scale action figure (dragon/BBI/Hot toys) and make him a 1/6 VIIC U boat commander complete with bridge, UZO and periscope housings.
I am having a difficult time finding good ref though, especially for the detail required at the larger scale. Could anyone direct me to where some good images would be for scratch build model making purposes?

In this very same forum you'll find the thread created by Siara (And stickied at the top) where you can follow his construction of the Revell's VIIC 1/72 model with TONS of precision and detailed additions. In the same thread, many pictures and discussions about the details were followed, so I recommend it to you as a great source of specific research.
