Default Thinking of ordering

I'm thinking of ordering the Silent Service TV show DVD's from the site below, and wanted to know how good they were.

Any opinions?

I grew up with them and thought they were the cat's pajamas at the time. I got to rewatch a few of them awhile back, and they are a bit simplistic but tell the stories well. Two fun parts are watching some well-known actors in early roles (DeForrest Kelley of Star Trek fame plays Joe Enright) and seeing the real skippers chat with the host at the end of each episode. They might be worth the price just for that.

Wow... I had forgotten all about the Silent Service TV show. A blast from the past for sure! Thanks for reminding me... I may have to check those out myself.

As I remember it, the show was on Sunday evening. I think I saw every one.

Agreed, but I'm asking specifically about the Silent Service TV series.
