Default Ithaca O/U shotguns

Anyone have any comments about Ithaca shotguns? I was just given one. They don't make guns like this anymore, I can tell you that. It has fully engraved metal work, 24k gold trigger, you name it. This one is in perfect condition too. I am told one box of ammo went through it, sometime back in the mid 1970's, and by looking at it, I believe it.

Anyway, I am even wondering if I should put a round through it and simply leave it in its pristine condition?

But dont overuse it! Even a gorgeus gal turns sacky if overused.

Would it be possible to post a picture? I don't know much about shotguns, but I would sure like to see it. It sounds like a real beaut!

Sounds like a wall ornament to me. Also how can the trigger be 24k gold? Pure gold is way to soft for something like that, unless its plated, in which case it will wear easily. I would just display it myself as i doubt it was made for actual use (unless your some rich schmuck).

Is it this model?

I am sure he meant plated. No firearms Co. would make a weapon with soft metal.

It looks like it has "Hi-Viz" sights. Was this altered or did it come that way?

Isn't it a bit stupid to have a sight like that on a gun that's really not meant to be shot with? Just wondering...

I've never shot with an Ithaca shotgun but I liked it in the game Mafia.
