memory (read) error
i was in the middle of wreaking havoc on this huge convoy just off newfundland, had bagged a Brooklyn class cruiser and several good sized merchies

That error can be cause by a few things,
I think I would check is to see if your ram has any bad sectors, google "ram test" and microsoft offers a free tool to check your ram. Next update and drivers and defrag/scan the drive. Then test again, if you get the same problem try a fresh install and test again. Best of luck..I hate errors |

I have had this problem when there is too much for my computer memory to handle. After you test your memory, I suggest you get as much RAM as you can (it is really cheap) and if you have Vista, use memory boost.
When I have used memory boost, I have found it unreliable above 2GB. I assume you have the latest drivers and a decent video card.
