saving survivor problem!
I started a career in 1941 and I destroyed an aircraft and I could see a survivor in the water but could not rescue him!

I tried the same while playing the single "Rescue" mission. No problems with your own guys but the Japanese airmen/sailors can't be picked up.
And no...I wasn't heartless and machine gunned them either. If I had a life raft I'd toss them one but as it was I left them to 'sink or swim'. To be unpolitically correct here I think it was Bull Halsey who said "The Japanese are almost as much fun to drown as they are to burn" or some such statement like that. |

In reality many Japanese airman often tried to drown themselves or attacked their rescuers when picked up. So when I see them I just point in the direction of Japan and say: "start swimming." ![]() |
