Default My computer is too good?

Hey guys I just got a new computer recently:
2.73 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core
NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT
2 GB memory DDR

Anyway first thing I do is install DW

I try to play different missions, but the game always lags out on me. Some people say I need to download something to make my graphics card worse for a while when I play.
Anyone finding themselves having to do this?

Thanks

Some AMD dual cores have troubles, try to force DW on one core only. Google for 'runfirst' .. also try to search here, you now should have keywords enough.

Not RunFirst as far as I know of, I use it for some time here and then (DW works fine on my Core 2 Duo even without it).
The possibility to bind process to single CPU is normal thing, you can do that with task manager (go to process, use context menu, select Set task affinity) .. but then you would have to do it every time you run DW. With RunFirst you can create shortcut easily.

The first AMD dual cores had timing issues.
That's why you need to install the patch to run correctly most applications.
Go here : http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/..._13118,00.html and download the AMD Dual-Core Optimizer Version 1.1.4 patch, it should fix all your problems.
With this patch you don't have to disable one of the processor cores.
