Question on crew speech and voices?

Is it possible to use speech files from other games like DC, SH1, 688! and SC to add more crew voices in SH4? Ive looked around for a mod that makes the crew more talkatve but I cant find anything.

It would be much more immersive if the crew repeated my orders down the chain of command on the boat like in Run Silent Run Deep. One of the coolest parts of the American crews is how orders are communicated at sea and the smart crisp way that crew acknowleges the command. 688I i remember did this really well and made up for lack of eyecandy. With all the eyeceandy of SH4, really outstanding sounds, (esp. the interactive sounds as well as the ambients), would really rock. Has anybody worked on this already?

Hey mate,
Im afraid that you cant add additional voices by activating them in some config file. What you can do though, and its a bit tedious, is to modify individual voices by lenghtening and adding a second command acknowledgement with a lower volume. I think there was a mod like this for SHIII but not for IV.

looking at the speech folder Id take a bet that most of these files aren't even used. How does the speach system work btw?
