Default Recognition Manual

Does anyone know where I can find a printable recognition manual? The in-game ship manual, and the one that came with my game doesn't list the ships length, which makes it hard to do some manual TDC calculations!

Thanks all.

Like an ONI ship recognition manual? I think you have to buy one of those....

For $30 you can have a scan of an original ONI 41-42 November 9, 1942 with supplements through August 1943 on disc. If you want to print all 325 pages, that'd be up to you.

I meant more for in-game lengths. Is there a document anywhere that lists the lengths for all Japanese warships/merchent vessels?

I'm just getting back into the game, and want to try my hand at manual TDC. I've downloaded Hitman's tutorial for 100% realism torpedo attacks, and want to give it a shot (it seems like the best method so far for determining AoB - something I've always had trouble with in the past.) That method requires you to know the length of the enemy ship though.

Thanks everyone. I played alot of SH3 with mixed success at the TDC (I frequently asked my wheps to plot a solution after some misses.) Gave up on SH4 when it first came out because it was so buggy. Just updated my system, and thought I'd give the 'ol girl another spin - now that shes all patched up and what not.

cardshark86,

The link provided is for a couple of files that was made by dmalvan a while ago. They are printable recognition manuals in pdf format:
http://files.filefront.com/ONI+Merch.../fileinfo.html
and
http://files.filefront.com/ONI+Merch.../fileinfo.html

Hope this is what you are looking for.

P.S. The first link is for imperial and the second is for metric.

Edit> The following link is for the printable Warship Recognition manual (in imperial), also by dmlavan:

Default hi

I am preparing a two page pdf download showing imperial measurments for ship lengths.for all IJN ships. I will post it in a separate thread. It is easier to work with than a manual, although it will not have pics or other date re the ships. It should be ready today. I will try to put the ship in the same order as the identification manual used in RFB.
