Default Youngest And Oldest

www.uboat.net has just added a new page: The Ten Youngest and Ten Oldest U-Boat Commanders to set out on a patrol.

The youngest was only 20, the oldest 54. Fascinating stuff.

The big problem Dönitz had was : should he send the most experienced to the front or should they take the lower risks to train the noobs later ?

A hard decision....

A problem every army has in wartime i think.

Ugh, I hate looking at photos of German soldiers after '44. Most of them are idiot Volksturm and Waffen-SS
