This is what i get when i try to approach a ship on surface.
The WO is loosing and spotting the ship every some seconds but he's stupid enough to have to report every single time to me.

Any possible solution besides a luger to his forehead?

Just be thankful he isn't doing tongue twisters. Sighted six twin screwed steel steamers sir, over and over. That'll drive your baby buggy bumpers off.

Well, it's just proof your crew is made up of mindless computer cyborgs. I suppose you can always turn the sound down until the ship is in continuous visual range. Personally, I like the Luger option.

This happens when a ship keeps slipping in and out of your max visual range. To stop this you can just submerge, go away, or get closer.

A Luger will work too, however.

When this happens I just take my Watch Officer off duty, and or remove any specialist watchmen from the conning tower. Usually this reduces Watch efficiency and the messages stop. I wait about five minutes and then put them back on duty, and the ship is probably well past the threshold by that time. Kind of annoying though..

That's the Luger option.

Since you aren't killing him, that should be called the "Luger-whipping" method.

Not really. They never learn. The next guy you put on watch will do the same thing.

Yeah, its a shame the game wasn't play-tested before being released. I opted to dismiss all the crew and now I run the sub on my own.....its hard work but a lot less noisy

Uber, have you ever thought of participating in the olympics?
Im sure all this running from the periscope to the bow/stern tubes has trained you well

PS The Luger might have not worked but an Avenger sure did!
In fact, it was bulls eye!
