Knights of the Sea might finally see light at the end of the tunnel!
![]() http://www.gameswarehouse.com.au/lon...p?gameid=16384 Does anyone know if this game site ships overseas? The KotS site is backup after being down since last spring or summer... but you couldn't log on yet.

Yes it's been a long wait so far... but it indeed looks like it will released fairly soon. Whether in this coming month or soon after... time will tell.

Has any of the community members here at Subsim picked up a copy yet?
And what are your thoughts about the game so far?

I have a copy of PT Boats.
One thing is sure - this is not a sim in the vein of SH3 etc. Much more arcade in style. I'm not too far in yet. My copy is Russian and needs lots of translation, although I have managed to get English menus. Unlike Black Shark, the development time has not IMHO been used to refine and improve the game. I think what I have may not be what the developers started out making. But - So far I am enjoying the tutorials and taking the game for what it is. Ship handling is acceptably realistic. There are on or two graphical bugs (smoke / wakes disappearing as you zoom - may be my PC) and vessels stop too quickly once you throttle back. I enjoyed sinking an enemy patrol boat and watched the crew jump overboard as she went down. There are no multiplayer servers showing up and there is no mission editor. I see little forum activity and nothing much from the developer Akella. I think there is lots of scope for modding the game. Hope it's not dead in the water. Cheers! |
