Gutted Fish

Late 1939 and on my way to my patrol grid through the English channel I sank 5 medium cargo ships and a freighter with eels and my deck gun.
I arrive at my grid BF15 with only 2 fwd eels and 1 aft and nil deckgun shells, i sit around for 16 hours then along comes a 20 ship convoy with the Rodney in sight too, I fire off all 3 eels after getting right into the middle of the convoy then I crash dive. I fired off all 3 with manual targetting and hit 3 targets but nothing sinks, so I wait for the convoy to disapear and surface as and i sit on the surface empty of eels like a Gutted Fish!!!!

I return to port, my crew are awarded 1 German Cross and 9 U Boat Badges, not a bad patrol but would've liked to have sank the Rodders and a few of the tankers.

I'm sure you'll find plenty of opportunist targets as the war proresses.
