Default TMO 1.62 -command 50,51 help

hi.i'm new here. i have a question. i downloaded TMO 1.62 for SHIV version 1.5.(u-boat x-pansion gold)it works pretty good (the mod) and i do like it.the one problem i am having though is this which i found here:http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=132330

11.) How do i get the next/ previous camera back?

The easiest way is to open the /data/cfg/commands.cfg in TMO. Search for " [Cmd50] " Your looking for these two blocks:

[Cmd50]
Name=Camera_on_next_unit
Ctxt=1
;Key0=0xBE,,">"
Page=0x34000000,3714

[Cmd51]
Name=Camera_on_prev_unit
Ctxt=1
;Key0=0xBC,,"<"
Page=0x34000000,3714

Simply remove the semicolon placed in front of the key assignment, and you have the next/previous cameras back. Note: this will restore hotkeys. It will not restore the buttons on the ordersbar.

I cannot for the life of me get this to work.i'm not the greatest skipper in the fleet and i do rely on external camera from time-to time.i really miss the previous/next unit cam. the above did not fix the hotkeys or the ordersbar or anything.i've tried deleting the semi-colons,i've tried deleting them and then moving the "k" in each key line back a space to line up with the rest of the command.still wont work.do my saves have to be in port or something? the only thing i have not attempted is to disable the mod and then adjust with command numbers 50 +51 and then re-enabling TMO 1.62.another query i have , aren't the previous/next keys supposed to be-"," and "." and not "<" and ">"? please help.it's drivin' me nutty. thanx.

Removing the semi-colon is all thats needed. I'm guessing your trying to use the next and previous camera buttons on the UI bar. You have to use the hotkeys.

thanx for trying to help. what exactly do you mean by UI bar? im pretty sure the hotkeys are the "," and "." right? those are what i'm trying to use. and yes i have deleted the semi-colons and the aforementioned buttons still do not work.

Make sure you remove the semi colon in TMO itself, not just in SH4. Go to MOD folder, find TMO, open Data and the rest of the ladder as explained in the readme and delete the semicolons there. Also, and I am not sure about this, I don't think you will get the camera back until you return to port and start a new patrol, so if it doesnt seem to work at first don't despair.

Those are the correct hotkeys. "," "."

By UI I meant User Interface. The bar at the bottom.

Remember to disable mod in jsgme before removing ;

other wise backup file undoes your alter mod.

thanx alot for the help. i figured it out. i took the original downloaded zipped file and re-extracted it back to the mod folder,overwriting the mod back to it's original state. i then disabled it,made sure all the files were the way i wanted them,and then re-enabled it.something must have got messed up when i altered the files from the original download.the thing that kept throwin me off was the fact that the hotkeys for prev/next cam are"," and "." ,where in the cfg folder it shows the shift keys "<",and ">" there.initially i thought that was wrong in the commands.the important thing is now its workin the way i want it to.no way to adjust the torpedo(dud factor) a.i. huh? i know, i know ,shut up and play.thanx again.
