Getting CTD with 1.52. Help!

I am running the following mods, in order

PE4_final
RFB 1.52_102408
RFB 1.52 patch_111608
RFB Altrenate Nomographs
RSDC_RFBv15_V396
Foobar's Porpoise Black Hi-Res Ver. 1.0
GATO Black Hi Res V 1.0

Had one CTD leaving harbor, then another as I was entering Midway on patrol.


ATI Radeon HD 4850 Series
INTEL Core Quad CPU 4gHz

Dropped PE4_final and there has been one incident since then. I save every 5 min. or so, so I work around it.

Don't want to sound like a squeaky wheel.

I appreciated these mods tremendously; what you guys have done has raised my enjoyment of this pastime beyond reckoning.

PE4 is included to RFB 1.52, so don't install it.

If problem persists, remove these:

Foobar's Porpoise Black Hi-Res Ver. 1.0
GATO Black Hi Res V 1.0

one by one and see it they cause it.

512. More than sufficient. It's gotta be mods; stock works like a charm; I get up to 8000+ time compression with barely a stutter.

Did you try to continue with a career after you installed TMO? If so, start a new career. Continuing a carrer after installing any major mod can cause any number of problems, including CTDs.

I think those two skins are in RFB as well. Check to see if sound may be screwing with your game. How are your options for sound set up in your game?

Sorry, I meant RFB. What I said goes for any large mod anyway.

I'll tinker with that; I do recall changing my sound options after installation. The only career mode I have set up is the one I started after SH4 1.5 and the mods were installed.

Have now narrowed most of the CTD's while taking screenshots, after registry cleanup, reinstall. I guess it could be the skins, though I can't imagine why.
