First, sorry is this thread is done, but I didn't find it in the search.
I discovered a few days ago the amazing OLC Ubermod, but I use OLC GUI 1.2.7 'cause it has a PDF and Ubermod not. OLC Ubermod has an excellent video tutorial, but English is not my born language, and my listening comprehension is not as good as I liked it. I know that the two mods have a difference when trying to find range and AOB, so I liked to know if there is a written manual about it. Thanks in advance and congratulations for the good work. |

![]() edit: oh, i see what you mean, OLC GUI special is diferent from OLC GUI (normal) maybe OLC can tell us if you can activate OLC GUI (normal) over OLCE2.... apparently OLC GUI special gives you a fixed zoom level to avoid "surface flattening" I'm also interested because if that's the case, i might download OLCE2.

There are written walkthroughs on how to do the manual targeting part. But it is a bit obscure in OLCs initial post of the OLC GUI thread. They were made during earlier versions of the Normal mod but the function is the same. (Only the Attackdisk part is not explained in them. See this thread)
See Friedl9te's range/AOB explanation (a post in an older thread, only hi magnification): http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...&postcount=207 See Skookum's PDF (speed, hi/lo magnification, but bad graphics unfortunately) http://files.filefront.com/OLC+GUI+Q.../fileinfo.html Basically the most important difference between the Normal Gui and the Special Gui is that the last one only has one magnification setting (3x), so you can forget the extra wheel sliding that involves the 15degree-mark. Also, the Normal Gui required doubled mast values (doing it in-your-head or let a small program create a correction-mod for it), but the Special Gui can use the unchanged mastheight values. You can use the Normal Gui on-top-of the Ubermod. Just enable the Normal Gui mod-parts as last, and don't enable the Special Gui. The drawback is that the wavetop improvement is lost. And iirc his map contact update changes are also not in the normal gui. Last edited by Pisces; 12-31-08 at 06:18 AM. |

I would need assistance about the new "attack disk". Do you know what is that exactly and what is for? How do you use it?
