Yes I do, sorry forgot to mention that (WinXP SP2 res fix). Do you think that is the culprit? If yes, is there any other way how to take screenshot? BTW PrintScr and paste in Photoshop is not working either.....

Yes the Res Fix changes the print screen function to the Print Screen key on your keyboard instead of CTRL+F11.

ok
Rick.

you could try some sort of screenshot software like "bo-shot" (it's free and easy to use)

Is there another way without having additional software running in the background?

Hi conus00

Check that your d3d9.cfg has the correct path for the shot i.e.

;
; DX9res Settings
; by Kegetys <kegetys@dnainternet.net>
;
; Note that this config is reloaded on device reset, so you can task switch out
; of the game, change settings from this file and then return
;

[config]
; ResX: Horizontal resolution setting
; ResY: Vertical resolution setting
; useFiltering: Use linear filtering for UI elements
; enableScreenshots: Hook printscreen keypress to save TGA screenshot
resX=1024;1680
resY=768;1050
useFiltering=1
enableScreenshots=1
screenshotPath=D:\Gaming\SH3\GWX <---- This one - put in your path

[gamma]
; setGamma: Override gamma ramp
; gammaRed: Red channel gamma (1.0 = normal, decrease to add brightess, increase to darken)
; gammaGreen: Green channel gamma (1.0 = normal, decrease to add brightess, increase to darken)
; gammaBlue: Blue channel gamma (1.0 = normal, decrease to add brightess, increase to darken)
setGamma=0
gammaRed=1.0
gammaGreen=1.0
gammaBlue=1.0

Then as already stated, use the print screen key.

Res fix is surely cool tool to boost up the graphic quality Despite it has its old problem preventing from alt+tabing if desktop and game resolutions matching.

P.S.

resX=1024;1680
resY=768;1050

what does these secondary values do?
;1680
;1050

The values preceded by the semicolon are just another screen resolution!

I've uploaded my Res Fix file to my filefront page you can try that if your still having problems!? This uses the print screen key and saves pics to your main SH3 Folder!

http://hosted.filefront.com/Rickpeters/

hope this will help

Rick

So you say it is possible to switch between multiple screen resolutions by using semicolon separation ? :hmm:

No anything after the semicolon is ignored by the cfg, what people tend to do when changing the resolution is place a semicolon before the figure they have change for backup reasons!

Thats right IFRT-WHUFC

The reason is I was working on the problem with the curser re-appearing to the bottom right and altering the TDC dial, instead of the centre, so I was swapping resolutions during investigations (editing settings).
