How many bootsmanmaats with the Deutsches Kreuz were there? I guess not THAT many, maybe in the hundreds. I couldn't find a list of the DK recipients, but it shouldn't be that difficult if you really wanted to find it.

The foto says '42/'43 but we can't know when his German Cross was granted.

We do know that the man has been awarded the medals before the photo was taken i.e. before 1943 at the latest. We know the man's grade at the moment of taking the photo, yet we do not know he's grade while being given the DK.
I searched the list provided by Mittelwaechter (looking for bootsmannsmaats awarded the DK before or in 1943) and here's some names:
