Question with SH4 Gold Edition Plz Help

Ok basically i bought SH4 Gold Edition to play with a few friends....however...

My other group of friends do not have the expansion...

So my question is...how do i install JUST Silent Hunter 4 from the Gold Edition DVD when i see no option to install "Just Silent Hunter 4"

I dont see a option, it just installs both SH4 and Expansion without even giving me a choice.

I mean maybe im missing the option somewhere but i would like to be able to play regular SH4 or SH4+expansion...not be forced to play both.

I read somewhere about a tool called MultiSH4...but i dont think this pertains to me as the only copy of the game i have is the Gold Edition.

Sorry to say it's all or nothing.

Plain SH4 is cheap on ebay or you can get it here thru SubSim.

well this is definatly dissapointing...

Another quick question...Can someone link a tutorial on the ports that need to be forwarded to make sure everything is setup right to play multiplayer.

a guide that will explain setting up multiplayer and for himachi play. I guess i will need the guide to explain hosting and playing on both of those types of online play.

My PC won't play SH4, so I can't directly help, but there will be someone along soon enough who can walk you through it.

Uhh you could buy two expansions for the price of one sh4 gold... just a thought.

There is a seperate forum for multiplayer probably find advice there.
