Game freeze

Windows XP, Geforce 8800GTX-178.13. directX 9.0c.

SHIII loads up to selection screen and freezes completely.

More info needed such as SH3 version, are you running any supermods, any single mods, also how much memory, you need atleast 1gb.

1) How do I find out which version I have?

2) No mods what so ever.

3) 2Gb. memory

If you can get to the Main Menu Screen check the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. If it reads 1.4 then you have the most recent (& last) version. If you can't get to the Menu Screen there should be a readme file in the SH3 folder and it should say which version you have.

Exactly there!

Rightclick the SH3.exe in the gamedirectory -> properties -> and check version. It should read 1.4.0.1.
You may want to check the windows eventlog too...
