Default Successful return... in Davy Jones' Locker

So, it's early in the war..and on my 2nd patrol, I take out my brand new Type II-C to go raid Dover.

Along the way I snag some lone merchants, nothing special. Finally I penetrate Dover and sink a Supply ship.

On my way back via the Kiel Canal, I did the "Kiel Inbound" course plot by the navigator. Decided to fast forward the time. After 34 minutes, "U-boat destroyed by collision" . Apparently, my sub got beached. What gives?!? I thought the automated Canal route was flawless, in fact on my first patrol it didn't happen to me.

Running GWX 2.1 with the OLCE mod and the seabed repair mod.

Not sure really:hmm:. Never has happened to me, and i've been through the Kiel canal many times, and always use TC.

Or you could of "accidently" let Bernard plot the course for you..............

Or Bernard thought he saw his mother on shore!

Happened to me once as well. I now double-check all the waypoints and adjust manually when they're too close to the shore in my judgement...

When your close to the starting waypoint, zoom in and ensure you don't click on the icon until you are precisely on the marker.

I never use the 'Kiel' buttons. I lay out my own waypoints, and use TC, and never crash. It takes a little longer, but it also forces me to slow down every once-in-a-while and enjoy the view.
