Battleship the movie?

Now this is, well just plain weird... seems that Universal has snapped up the rights to some of Hasbro's board games to make movies, first up is Monopoly, they seem pretty serious about it as Ridley (Alien, Blackhawk Down, Hannibal, Blade Runner, Gladiator) Scott is directing it!

Anyway they have also more interestingly picked up the rights to Battleship, what will they make of that? Read more here

hmmm, i can imagine a film being made from Monopoly but Battleships

this will have me thinking all day now lol
