Russian rbellion campaign Khabarovsk shipping surveillance

I managed somehow to be counter detected and in defense sunk a rebel Victor III sub.
But before I brilliantly managed to be detected I heard explosions which indicated an ensuing battle. After the sinking the Victor I detected and visually identified(marked) every moving merchant ships there were in the area, a car carrier, an oiler, a freighter and a cargo ship.

But the mission never said anything about me accomplishing it.
So i turned the show truth on and found to my surprise that a PTG combat ship had been sunk along with a cargo ship.

How can I expect to finish this mission if the friendly AI which I took to be the Orian P-3 started shooting my surveillance target?

The 688i is no Halibut. . .
