Default For those of you with...

A penchant for the dark side of life

I present the "Real time disastor map"

http://visz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/index.php?smp=&lang=eng

Its actually kind of fascinating. You can click on the 'disastor' for a story on it.

It deals with 'real' disastors that result in endangerment or loss of life. Not financal crisis.

Now that's one interesting map...though I'm kinda confused how "Jellyfish invasion" got classified as a nuclear disaster...(jellyfish + seawater cooling = temporary shutdown while waiting for them to clear away?)

Though I found it interesting that a single crocodile on the Magnetic Islands (Australia) got classified as a biological hazard, level-I (minor).:hmm:

Seems a little over the top though,

For instance, a saltwater croc swimming, funnily enough, in salt water in austraya is rated as a biological hazard???

I would've deemed a leak of active smallpox-laced water a biological hazard, not a croc swimming in its natural habitat?:hmm:

Saw that one (the jellyfish) I suppose it comprimised the sea water intake. Weve had similar problems here in florida with the Turkey Point plant. Alot of changes have been made to prevent jelly fish / kelp intrusion.

Folks still swear they catch three eyed fish and the like.
