Default How to make a battleship support land invasion?

I was laying in bed for several hours last night trying to think of how to solve a scipting problem...

During several events in the Med, British warships supplied fire support for land invasions (such as HMS Warspite firing on inland targets near Catania during the invasion of Sicily). How can this be replicated in SH3 with SH3 AI?

A question to the veteran scripters (BBW, Hansolo, anybody?)...

Is it possible to place an invisible 'ship' on the land, that the AI would see, but the player would neither see or hear, that the AI could fire at to simulate fire support?

If YES, this is probably the key to doing the job.

That's pretty much what I am thinking. I'll need to spend some time figuring out how to make the target (I'm totaly new to modding ships), but I think the effect will be worth the effort.

Default Bug in SH3 Editor! Argghh!

Is it just me, or has anyone else had this problem...

Once in a while when working in SH3 Editor, I save a campaign file and SH3 Editor writes the file as a 1K file with only the header and footer information...effectively leaving out ALL of the other information.

I have encountered this several times in recent weeks. After loosing NUMEROUS HOURS of work, I am now backing up the campaign files after every good save. Nevertheless, I still lost at last three hours of work last night due to this.

Does anyone know what's going on? (or is it just my system?)
