When using time compression, water texture gets corrupted, i limited to 1024x max tc but its the same, after a while the sky textures gets corrupted too, in the nav map shows 60-80 fps so CPU its not the problem, It happens only in SH4.
If someone knows a tweak to the video drivers settings (nvidia) or something else, let me know, i can't play with this ![]() Last edited by Nicolas; 10-24-08 at 09:14 AM. |

check the mods sticky thread and the read me
i cant remember the specific limits but i can recall you need to not go over a certain amount of TC (i think it was 248 or 512) or that stuff happens i avoid using the environmental mods because of small glitches like that. for me, its a game and even though it can look more "real" with an environmental mod, if it causes issues i rather not put up with them. they are wonderfull mods, i just dont mind it looking like a game to start off with so i dont look at it as doing without something i look at it as putting up with added issues just to have prettier eye candy. |

Sadly yes, when i go back from 1024x to 1x sea or sky looks really bad the rest of the game. I like PE4 but i cant use it.

i wouldnt give up just yet, talk to the guys in the PE4 thread, maybe they can help you disable the part of the mod that causes the issue and then maybe you can still use the mod after that.
im no cheerleader for "use this mod over that one" but try the other mod "Environment 5" and see what that one is like. post in the thread and ask what all the known "bugs" or "issues" are when you use the mod, then you can see if you want to try it. i did this for both environmental mods and decided not to use them untill they fixed all the issues but decide for yourself what issues you are willing to live with or not. |

With TMO or TMO plus RSRDC you will have no TC problems (or any other for that matter). But I believe w_clear's readme for E4 and E5 says not to go over 2048 TC. Check PE 4/5. May say the same thing.
