Default Stopping D-Day (or at least ruining plans)

Anyone ever tried? I'm almost into '44 for the first time, and I'm tempted to head out that way in June despite the shallow water just to see all the ships out there. Maybe get a few shots off at the BB's causing my Ost battalion bretheren so much trouble.

I don't expect to survive, really, but I do want to see D-Day from a periscope.:p

Enjoy your death... going anywhere NEAR the landing areas means certainty of death lol... you wouldn't even get a shot off before DD's and aircraft bombed your ass to bits

The Channel waters are too shallow for my taste. Anyway, once they land, our Panzer divizions will push them back into the sea.

Pretty much what I expect to happen, I just want to see it.

Get there days ( I dont mean 2 days before the fireworks start I mean a good 4 days prior so you can get into a perfect position, stay away from the mines, keep it slow and low (deep in this case) so no one finds you. Perferably with engines at all stop and sitting on the bottom, only surface for air. DO NOT stay surfaced for long or the RAF or a group of distroyers WILL kill you, no matter what you do if they find you, you are dead.
Stay silent lay deep is the main thing I can tell you. As I said, lay on the bottom. silent running.

Look at the campagine files for further details.
