Default 3rd patrol update

Well I thought it was time I posted an update on my 3rd patrol. Im still on it (it just seems to never end), but have finally reached my patrol grid just north of Port of Spain. 1st few hours I got several sound contacts, which turned out to be a 12 ship tanker convoy - jackpot! However things did not got to well, as the 2 yankee escorts houded me for 3 hrs, keeping me at depth having to hoochie-woochie my way out. By the time I evaded the escorts the convoy was long gone.
I was also attacked twice by aircraft, a Kingfisher and a PBY, both forcing me to crash dive - no damage sustained.
All was not lost, as I managed to bag a large merchant, and am now plotting a course home.

Sorry the 'gang-bang the tankers' didn't work out, but glad to see that it was at least a realistic experience. Glad you survived and got the one.

Lucky to be alive.

Well I thought that it would get a bit quieter once I started to head home - wrong!
I was reciveied yet another unprovoked attack by the Yankee airforce yesterday, as an kingfisher decided to take a pot-shot at me. I was unable to return fire due to rough seas, forcing me to craah dive.
I shall be making a formal complaint to the US ambasador once I get home.
