I have completed a 1x patrol back in August.

and i got to thinking... when GWX4 comes out - what do you think of a 1x career?

Realistically limited to like 8 patrols of course... starting out in 1939, with something like 25 days between patrols in real time.

now THATS hard core!

I've never been a fan of full 1x patrols, because I don't find them more realistic, since I'm not actually experiencing shipboard life.

But enough negativity. Spending the actual time between patrols not playing? Yeah, that's hardcore alright!

But still an interesting idea.

If I thought I could get away with being mindlessly plastered in French night clubs for 3 weeks between patrols in RL without a peep from the g/f, I could go for that!

I can imagine the phone call to work though...

S5: Not so much that: I had a serious divebombing in the bay of Biscay last night on the way back to Lorient and me and some of the lads have been getting drunk to relieve the stress...

Yes, I think 1X patrols (and obviously careers) are for the *coughs* older and/or well-heeled Kaleuns. For the rest of us - at the 'coal-face' so to speak, I just wish real life did not get in the way of our efforts quite so much

Just don't tell BdU I have another job...

It sounds like way too much work for me. I'll stick with my short and sweet patrols with 1048x cruise control. I get my kicks from blowing stuff up

Are the finnish armorships "Väinämöinen" and "Ilmarinen" gonna be finally added to the game?
