Default Monitor settings in cfg file

Hi guys. I have been having a terrible banding problem with my ingame image. Even though I have my desktop and game configured to 32 bit, the image looks like it's running in 16 bit mode.

I have checked everything from the control panel, to the darn game cfg files, and after looking at it numerous times, it dawned on me that the game cfg file in the documents has the resolution at 1920 x 1200 @ 60hrz, but it is followed by the interger 22. Just a quari, what is "22". Is it bit depth? cause it sure isn't my 1954 Marlin single shot.

Thanks in advance!

Btw, if it matters, I run two EvGa GeForce 8800 GTS 512s in SLi. Fps is very high with it, but since the monitor maxes out at 60hrz it's a moot point.

Dont know, maybe the base screen size that the devs thought that res was for? Like 22 inch screen? For me the game has the wrong aspect ratio. I game on a 19" screen and its native res is 1280x1024~4:3, but the game puts it in 1280x1024~5:4.

Its not the first nor I doubt will it be the last to do the same thing. Makes me wonder at times what some devs are thinking when they program in resolutions.

Wow that is weird. I would just like to get rid of the color gradients I can see on the horizon, and the lightshafts looking like they in 256 color mode. Yep, and I did check the compatability configuration to make sure it wasn't checked off to run it that way.
