I'm actually a fan of giving crappy jobs to other countries we don't care about. As long as the companies are based in the U.S., who cares where the factories are? The money comes back here, anyway.

The U.S. should pursue a policy of economic freedom to the maximum extent that it can be reasonably implemented. That means no corporate taxes, no tariffs, no excessive regulation, and a simple legal code. We should strive to be the absolutely most attractive place for business to do business.

To some extent, we have done this, sort of, in a half-assed way. Combined with the size of the country and its' wealth in natural resources, the U.S. remains the preeminent economy in the world, sort of, in a half-assed way. We have seen the transition from an agrarian economy to an industrial economy to a service economy.

The next step is a corporate economy where we basically disassociate ourselves from virtually all stages of production and distribution(except domestic distribution, obviously) and outsource everything we can. That way, we run everything at the expense of everyone else. Other countries would be powerless to do anything about it, because we would be a key part of their economies. Not that their state officials would care, anyway, as long as they make out alright.

Domestic problems like unemployment and low wages could be virtually eliminated by the resultant explosion in U.S. economic growth as companies battle for a limited labor pool to run their administrative operations.

Throw in a little gold(or other precious material)-backed currency system, which would strengthen the dollar in relation to economy-backed systems ( many of which rely on an economy-backed dollar:rotfl: ) and limit the money supply and inflation. That would damage other countries' economies even more, and make them more subject to U.S. economic domination.

Add just a pinch of restrictive immigration policy. Give us your intelligent, your gifted, your inspired few yearning to escape oppressive state control.

Make sure not to add any state control that is not absolutely necessary to preserve personal freedom and prevent fraud and practices that are unsafe to the populace.

Now you have recipe for the economic "Empire of The United States of America."

We have an advantage right now. The world economy is suffering from our idiotic state-controlled fiscal policy. Desperate business owners are looking for a way to weather the crisis. Why not provide the means for them in an economic blitzkrieg that seizes control of the world economy in one fell swoop?

If that seems a bit heartless, it is because it is. The world is a competitive place.
We (in the U.S.) should make sure that we provide an environment that is conducive to business, and therefore very competitive.

Of course, all that is irrelevant, as America pursues a statist policy that will destroy us, just as all empires have.

The political, plutocratic elite benefit at the expense of the rest of America, and therefore, the world.
