Default WIP Japanese telegraph for v. 2.5 Jyunsen B, Kaichu and Kaidai submarine mod

Thanks to Zaza, I have been able to start working on the IJN talegraph, Zaza sent this :

Obviously japanese submarines had also more speeds than their us counterparts...

Full maximum (Emargency)
Maximum battle speed.............(full speed on each ship)
Third battle speed................................24Knt
Second battle speed.............................21Knt
First battle speed.................................18Knt
Full (or its should be call faster).............15Knt
Normal (standard speed?)..................12Knt regular speed
Half.............................................. .....9knt
Slow.............................................. ....6knt
"Uppers are section in ahead"
stand by for engine (I think this function only for SUB)
stop.............................................. ...0knt
stand by for electric motor (I think this function only for SUB)
"Below are section in back"
Stand by
Slow
Half
Normal
Full
Maximum

For me, as I am a Chinese, I can read Chinese Characters in Japanese(Hanji?) as well. So....:hmm: I can understand nearly all meaning above

By the way, it seems that the dial is also used to switch between diesel and electric engine?

Oh one question BTW: Are you going to keep the U-Boat interiors or are we gettiing new ones for the japanese subs?

I think that by replacing some stuff and adding other, you could get a more individual interior, even if it is not historically correct. I for one would prefer a common interior for all japanese subs that differs from the U-Boats rather than U-Boat interior.

Really? I thought the language would differ a lot (chinese from japanese), so do the characters represent concepts and not fonetics like most occidental languages? That would explain you being able to understand them.

When do you think you could have the interiors done?

Apart from what I saw in the movie Go Chin, which was filmed during an actual war patrol in 1942 and is very dark (Zaza's dial comes from there) I don't see how we would as the US sunk all its captured IJN subs in 1946 and their pictures weren't worth didley squat...
It is too much work not to make it accurate, I don't use the inside 3d when I play, to me it's just eye candy

Actually, Japanese "borrows" a lot of Chinese characters into their language, although Japanese has its own characters as well.
However, in my opinion, the phonetics are quite different. grammar as well.

And I read Chinese characters in Japanese only

Default add speeds ?

ok now's the trouble, the us/german side has 5 forward speeds, 4 reverse.

how could we add speeds ? I know it involves making a new dial, but can we add the missing speeds ?

US IJN

? Full maximum (Emargency)
? Maximum battle speed.............(full speed on each ship)
? Third battle speed................................24Knt
? Second battle speed.............................21Knt
5 First battle speed.................................18Knt
4 Full (or its should be call faster).............15Knt
3 Normal (standard speed?)..................12Knt regular speed
2 Half.............................................. .....9knt
1 Slow.............................................. ....6knt
"Uppers are section in ahead"
stand by for engine (I think this function only for SUB)
stop.............................................. ...0knt
stand by for electric motor (I think this function only for SUB)
"Below are section in back"
Stand by
1 Slow
2 Half
3 Normal
4 Full
