When you put mods into SH3 & another mod is intercepting another mod & it says do yiou want to overwrite the mod, What am I suppose to do/ Click on Yes or No. What happens when I click on yes to overwrite the mod?
Also where do I put the propaghanda mod into, it is not JSGME ready? |

It depends on the mod. Sometimes overwriting is intended by the creator, sometimes its an unwanted side effect causing trouble. If there are no info in the readme file or in a forum thread u need to test if it works.

A mod is a change in some file of the game, and sometimes the addiction of new files.
Lets say a mod have changed the files A, B and C from the game, and added a D file. JSGME will not ask you anything, coz you're replacing files of the original game. But lets say that, after enabling this mod, you want to enable another mod that has changed the files B, D and E. JSGME will check and see that the other mod you just enabled already added to the game the files B and D, so it will ask if you want to replace those two files with the new ones from the second mod. Won't ask anything for the E file coz nothing has been changed there. If you replace, you'll lose the features that those B and D files present, IF the new mod doesn't have those features added to the new files already. Lets say that the second mod was made by me and the first one by Privateer. If I say in my mod thread that my mod is compatible with Privateer's, that means I've modded the files on top of Privateer's files, so it contains all the modifications he'd make. So you have two mods in one. You only have to worry about replacing mods when they're not compatible with eachother. If that's the case, you have to choose with mod is more important to you and enable it. Sometimes two incompatible mods work together, although you'll lose some of the beneficts/funcionality of the first one enabled. ![]()
