Refuelling, rearming, repairing at sea.Can anyone direct me to a link detailing this?

I am interested in being able to refuel, repair and re-arm at sea,as this would be extremely important if assigned to stupid grids like GR89.So,can anyone direct me to a link detailing this info,or to the particular add-on I might need?.And could you also let me know if whatever needs to be done can be done straight over Stock 1.4 & Commander 3.1 without problems?
I've been wanting to do this for a while now. *why havent I found all this out before now?*

MANY thanks!

Milch cows are only available via mods.

My obvious choice would be GWX but there is a 'milch cow only mod' out there somewhere IIRC

Well,at least the answer was swift and to the point,no messin around, thats what I like.
Looks like i'm going to have to invest in GWX next, and pretty soon.It can be installed over Commander I presume?,of course,I will have to delete all old career details etc.

Cheers jimbo

Hey jim,

I did a quick search on google for milk cow mods, and I got 2 main hits, linking me to one done by Sansal, and the other by sergbuto.Any recommendations?,for a standalone milk cow,no extra strings attached?.
Oh,and make sure it doesnt have a bell around the conning tower and emit sounds like "moo",I dont want it to alert anyone to whats taking place.

Hi Paul:

I checked out Google & found a link for Sansal's milk cow mod for you. It's here at: http://www.fileplanet.com/156694/150...--Milk-Cow-Mod . The only catch is that you have to create an account there (apparently you can register for free).

To answer your question about GWX, yeah, it's fully compatible with SH3 Cmdr. You'll have to d'load some config files available at the GWX main site but they're pretty small downloads (1-2 MB in size). Once you get it (GWX) you'll have to scrap your old career(s) as they won't work with GWX. On the plus side; GWX is what SH III should have been (ie. many, many fixes, additions, best manual that I've ever seen, etc.) & it's absolutely free of charge.

Hope this helps...

Download GWX 2.1-It is well worth it.

I got pretty bored, pretty quick with stock, decided to add GWX 2.1 and have loved every minute of it.

take yer pick....I've used neither as a standalone

If your after GWX the obvious links are on my sig.....you could if you wanted, get them both (GWX2.0 and 2.1) via torrent....it just so happens I host the torrent on a server 24/7

The good thing about torrents (when used with a download manager such as uTorrent) is that you can break your connection as often as you want and when you reconnect, the torrent picks up where you left off.

Thanks guys, that really helps a lot.
Jim,you mention download managers,in your case utorrent,I have download accelerator which also resumes broken dls.Only problem with DAP sometimes is that the default windows download screen appears and not the DAP download screen. As far as I know DAP has been configured to become my default dl manager, but as I say with some files the default windows one appears.
Ultimately,I dont care how long it takes me to dl all that I need,so long as I can keep resuming where I left off.I'm quite patient most times
Finally,Utorrent, this is free, and becomes your default download manager by default?.I never knew about this program,I think i'll have a look at it.Have you got a link to it?.

Thanks mate.

DAP & uTorrent are different entities.

DAP is a download manager for all FTP/HTTP downloads (i.e what windows does).

uTorrent is only a Torrent manager. It will only download files with torrent trackers (private or public) and will only process files with torrent hash codes.

Do not think uTorrent will replace DAP, it wont.

Yes.....Paul.....Please heed Dans post.

I thought we were discussing download managers for torrents only.

My normal download manager is GetRight....but that is indeed a different programme altogether.

http://getright.com/

Apologies for any confusion caused.
