Default Old Small Split Freighter...and...

....small split freighter. The images in the Recognition Manual are exactly the same , but the mast height is 87.9 for the former and only 74 for the latter. (Think stadimeter.)

I did several searches which turned up nothing about this. ..though I did run across an old thread claiming to know why they are named split...with a photo showing one blown in half.....good for a laugh.

So..how do you tell them apart? Or do you not care and use either the accuracy fix mod or auto targeting?

Yep. Same for Small Composite and Coastal Composite, both 1850 tons. One mast is 74 feet and the other is 72 feet. Exact same picture.

I have no idea.

One is used for the Japanese and one for the Allies. Why they have two different mast heights is a mystery. They are the exact same model and share the same damage model.

OK. Sounds reasonable. Which is the Japanese one? The taller mast or lower?

As I recall, it's the Small Old Split Freighter.
