Where to find icebergs!

I have never found an iceberg on a patrol yet, in this picture:

Three groups are shown, I zigzagged over this area taking around 5 hours RT diving and checking hydraphones but find nil! Do they make a sound, could someone please tell me where I can find 100% any, as this is totally getting to me!
Maybe I should just load a SP mission, I assume Iceland!

they are random... not scripted.

even if you go and sit in the prescribed area for a week there is only a % chance you will ever see them

you know... like real life.

i would recommend a winter patrol somewhere in the middle of the BC grid area.

several have been sighted there.

what are you going to do when you locate them? shoot a torpedoe at it? because they dud 100% of the time against bergs... and if you did manage to hit one with a torpedo i dont think there is a damage model.

patience... you will join the ranks of those of us who have seen ice bergs during patrol, give it time, venture deep into the northwestern atlantic... try the denmark strait even.

Can't confirm that they make a sound (actually listening on hydrophones), but I can confirm that the sonar guy picks them up if they're around. Mine reported a "slow moving merchant", which when I eventually raised scope to ID, turned out to be an iceburg. :P

All I found was in the North Atlantic following the depth current from Groenland. If you go to USA by the Titanic way on spring, you will see: right ahead.

IMHO one of the best set of directions yet.

Your hydrophone guy will report them as a slow moving ......... though
