sh3 commander problem: grid 0 and can't be changed
hi there!
just tried to continue my 2nd patrol when sh3 commander suddenly shows "patrol grid Null" - have no idea why cause i didnt change anything (no mods changed - nothing!) ![]() I was ordered to go to BF13 which was correctly shown by sh3 commander when I started this patrol in Brest. So I saved far away from my home base last night. And now this - if I try to type in BF 13 before loading the sim via sh3 commander, this doesn't change from "null" to "BF 13" ![]() Where do I find the patrol grid in sh3 commander and how can I change it to get my current patrol loaded again? I checked the search function but obviously nobody in this forum had this prob before, so please support me. thanx thoomsn aboard u-56 |

Try loading into the game without launching SH3 commander. The information from commander is already saved so SH3 should recognize where you are suppose to be. I've run into this problem as well, and that has always worked for me. I hardly ever launch from commander, I just save my choices and exit then run the game normally. Hope this helps, if not, I'll see if I can assist you further.

I use sh3patrol.exe from NYGM package to change the patrolgrid no matter if its NULL or any other assigned grid i dont like anymore but i have to use a saved game being undocked to change it to my conveniance.

It really doesn't matter because you do not get any extra renoun for reaching your assigned patrol grid, or patroling it for 24 hours, using GWX 2.1.

But in real life you were assigned a patrol area, and were expected to patrol that area. It was your duty. As in real life, you get no renown for doing your duty. So it's still a problem that needs fixed cause I've never read of a U-Boat being assigned to patrol NULL. :rotfl: |

In Patrols_0.cfg you have to change the setting of the second to the last patrol, which is always the patrol that has the same number as the very last patrol in the Patrols.cfg file. The last patrol in the Patrols_0.cfg file is your NEXT patrol, if you make it that far... Bob |
